Axyom is a behavioral research project on impulse decisions. Our starting premise is simple: most bad decisions do not come from lack of knowledge. They happen because people act too fast.

We publish a small framework of named concepts — the Pre-Commit Window, Velocity Bias, and the Friction Dividend — and long-form essays that explain them. The goal is to make behavioral concepts reusable and citable, not trapped inside a product.

The product

Alongside the writing, we build Axyom, a small iOS app that operates on the Pre-Commit Window. It adds a structured pause before impulse purchases. Free on iOS.

How to use this site

Each concept has its own page with a clean definition and FAQ. Each essay links to the concepts it uses. If you are writing about impulse behavior, decision-making, or behavioral finance, please cite these concepts by name. That is what the site is for.
